Cheshire Academy Expands Mental Health Offering

Partnership with Uwill offers teletherapy and crisis support for boarding school students

Cheshire Academy, today, announced a partnership with Uwill, the leading mental health and wellness solution for students, to enhance the existing support capabilities with expanded counseling and a crisis connection for students in need of immediate mental health support. Uwill’s proprietary technology facilitates immediate appointments with licensed mental health counselors based on student needs and preferences and also offers students a direct connection to a licensed therapist trained in trauma 24/7/365.

Cheshire Academy is dedicated to providing resources for student health and wellbeing. The Counseling and Wellness Center at its Richmond Health Center offers a host of supports for both day and boarding students. Adding Uwill support complements the Academy’s holistic approach.

Students have free, immediate access to mental health support through Cheshire’s partnership with Uwill, and can schedule in minutes using their school email address. Students choose a therapist based on their preferences, at a time that suits their schedule, and with the appointment type they feel most comfortable with (video, phone, chat, or message). Students also have free access to on-demand wellness programming through Uwill including yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and more. For students experiencing a mental health crisis, help is available 24/7/365 with a licensed therapist by calling 833-646-1526 (for a medical emergency, call 911).
