Adam Ring has more than 15 years of experience in the education sector as an operator, business development executive and research analyst. Most recently, he was a co-founder of First Finance Institute (FFI), a leading online program management provider of certificate based programs. He led all business development efforts and directed the company’s university partnerships with top business schools worldwide. Previously, Adam teamed with Michael at Bloomberg Institute where he was responsible for the company’s growth accomplishments. Prior he was a research associate at BMO Capital Markets where his team was recognized as “Best on the Street” by the Wall Street Journal. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.

He is one of the original founders of StarCard Metaverse, a DeFi company, that helps bridge the digital divide between athletes, entertainers, gamers and their fans. Alex Thomas brings a decade of web technology experience to Uwill. After graduating from Virginia Tech, he worked in the tech industry in San Francisco and New York City. From highly customized e-commerce websites, to dashboards for the small/medium business customers of Chase Bank, to enabling a concurrent live-streaming iPhone application at Supergreat, to mentoring at a coding bootcamp called Thinkful, Alex enjoys solving any engineering challenges that come his way.

Ally Wecker
Allison Wecker brings more than twenty years of experience in customer and client services to Uwill where she supports the counselor success team. Ally has a diverse background in health care, image consulting, marketing, and sales. She spent time on the Epoch Senior Living’s senior management team, and her return to the mental health field reflects her passion for this area of health care. Ally earned a dual degree, a BS in Psychology/MBA in Healthcare from Union College and sat on CJP’s Women’s Philanthropy Executive Board.

Amaura Kemmerer
Amaura Kemmerer, LICSW, serves as Director, Clinical Affairs for Uwill, the nation’s fastest-growing mental health solution serving more than 2 million students at 300+ institutions in all 50 states and 40 countries. Amaura leads Uwill’s engagement efforts, providing consultation and support to campuses to maximize student interaction with the platform. She joined Uwill from the Christie Campus Health acquisition where she served as the Executive Vice President of Client Engagement. Previously, she spent fifteen years at Northeastern University overseeing college student wellness and prevention education. Her expertise in the landscape of mental health on college campuses brings valuable insight to Uwill campuses across the globe. Amaura is a national speaker and trainer on topics including research-based strategies to reduce high-risk college student substance use.

Amy Powell
Amy Powell brings extensive higher education experience developing, operationalizing, and managing mental health and wellness programming and providing supportive interventions to college students. Amy spent 22 years with Duke University, most recently, serving as Vice Dean of Students, providing oversight of campus-wide outreach, wellness promotion, case management, and the student affairs on-call system, as well as serving as the primary liaison for the campus telehealth partnership. Prior to that role, she worked as a medical social worker before transitioning to a student affairs role, where she created and managed a comprehensive case management program and provided leadership of the campus behavioral assessment team. Amy received her undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech, holds a masters in social work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is co-founder of the Higher Education Case Management Association (HECMA).

Annalisa Littleton
Annalisa Littleton is passionate about improving literacy and increasing access to mental health care which led her to Uwill. She brings experience working with mission-driven nonprofits and start-ups where she helped minimize wait times for literacy tutors and mental health care. Annalisa received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Asheville and a master’s degree from Nanyang Technological University’s S. Rajaratnam School of International Relations.

Asini Wijewardane
Asini Wijewardane serves as Managing Director, UK leading Uwill’s growth in the UK. Previously, Asini served as the Director, Counselor Success overseeing the development, recruitment and retention of Uwill’s counselor community. Asini brings a broad range of leadership, operational and development experience to Uwill. Asini’s work experiences span three continents and includes business development, consulting and project management roles. Prior to her time at Uwill, Asini served as Director of Business Development at medical device company UrSure, where she managed the customer success team, as well as developed the account management and communication strategies through the company’s 2020 acquisition. She is also a co-founder of Unmute, a unique mental health counseling application that leverages artificial intelligence to pair patients with compatible therapists. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Middlesex University, an LLB from University of London, an MBA from the Olin Graduate School at Babson College, and MSc in Analytics from Harrisburg University.

Bailey Smith brings more than ten years experience in customer success strategies, account management, and retention techniques to her customer success role at Uwill. Bailey excels in identifying opportunities for growth and development for her clients. With a deep understanding of the education technology landscape having worked most recently with Certiverse and Examity, Bailey is skilled in implementing innovative solutions to address the unique needs of schools and universities. She has a passion for leading with empathy and leveraging technology to enhance client goals and improve student engagement. Outside of Uwill, Bailey enjoys traveling with her family.

Ben Reinisch joins Uwill as a Manager of Customer Success, bringing experience in the mental health space with a focus on education and student-athletes. A graduate of Phillips Academy in Andover, MA, Ben earned his Bachelor’s in Arts in Biology from Trinity College and his Master’s in Athletic Administration from SUNY Brockport. Ben was also a member of the varsity baseball team during his career at Trinity and served as a Graduate Assistant Coach with the baseball program at Brockport. He looks forward to providing insight from his experience as a student-athlete and coach to better serve students and schools across the country.

Bernie attended undergrad at Stonehill College, and earned his MBA from the Sawyer Business School at Suffolk University.

Brett Silk
Brett Silk joins the Uwill team as a Senior Associate of Operations supporting the product, support, marketing, and sales teams. Most recently, Brett was the Head of Operations for his university’s transportation system where he developed a service offering to better support student need during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also created and managed social media accounts to improve communications with students. In addition, Brett worked in the athletic department for a summer camp, managing a staff of high school and college students and leading activities. Brett received his BA in Business and Psychology, with a marketing specialization from Brandeis University.

Brooke Snyder is a seasoned business development and sales professional with more than 20 years of experience. Most recently, Brooke served as a consultant for PreK-12th grade education and behavioral health SaaS technology. Prior to that, she founded and managed a health and wellness consulting practice, serving individuals and corporations across Massachusetts as a trusted resource for HR and wellness staff. Cheryl Esselen is a higher education professional with 10 years of experience in the field. Leveraging her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Hartford, she has dedicated her career to supporting students and institutions in order to promote academic excellence. Throughout her career, Cheryl has held a variety of positions within the higher education field including supporting tuition assistance, exam integrity, and now campus mental health services. She has extensive experience working with diverse institutions with a goal of helping each support their student population. When not working, Cheryl enjoys spending time outdoors doing activities such as camping and trail hikes. She believes that spending time outdoors is essential for personal wellness and enjoys sharing this passion with others.

Darryl “DMC” McDaniels is a rapper, author, and founding member of Run-DMC, the legendary rap group that has sold over 30 million records. Among other achievements Run-DMC was the first rap group to grace the cover of Rolling Stone, the first to appear on MTV, and just the second to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Daryl has also spoken publicly and written extensively about addiction and recovery, and how he came to embrace the value of therapy. His memoir “Ten Ways Not to Commit Suicide” details his battle with depression and sobriety, as well as overcoming suicidal thoughts.

David Lipsius is a mindful leadership coach and wellness educator with over 30 years of experience in yoga, meditation, and mindfulness practice. He is the former President and CEO of Yoga Alliance and Yoga Alliance Foundation and the former CEO of Kripalu Center of Yoga & Health, the largest yoga retreat center in North America. David honors the ancient spiritual practices of yoga and Ayurveda by acknowledging their roots in India and by deeply appreciating the teachers who have offered him a rich and powerful initiation into the yogic arts. David is also an Emmy nominated director and the Executive Producer of the documentary film Agniyogana, a meditative inquiry into the lost art of classical Hatha Yoga. She takes great pride in streamlining and elevating the customer experience while also supporting highly efficient teams. Jessica Feinberg
Jessica Feinberg, LICSW, is the Program Director of the Belmont Adolescent Partial Hospital Program at McLean Hospital. Jessica joined McLean, a Harvard Medical School Affiliate, after completing a clinical fellowship at the Yale Child Study Center. She has worked as a therapist and clinical social worker in the Adolescent Acute Residential Treatment (ART) Program since 2002. Jessica is trained in dialectical behavior therapy and has extensive experience treating adolescents and their families, with a particular interest in treating those who struggle with substance abuse and self-injury. She has held numerous positions within the ART program and is currently program director of the ART. Jessica has also had a private practice primarily focusing on treating adolescents, young adults, and families.

Prior to Uwill, she worked at Examity for over six years alongside Michael London and helped propel the company to an industry leader in the online proctoring space. As Examity’s Vice President, Business Development, she possessed a deep understanding of the education market and oversaw a team of enterprise sales reps as well as managed Examity’s largest education clients and partnerships. Jillian is a graduate of the John M. Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis.

John Cuddemi is a multiple award-winning creative with 25+ years of agency experience. During his career, he has created best-in-class web and print design for agencies such as Digitas, Genuine, Overdrive Interactive, TMP Worldwide, Neoscape, Hill Holiday, Sallie Mae, and Citizens Bank. From 2003-2009, he founded and was President and Creative Director of Albion Interactive. Albion developed compelling branding strategies for a variety of healthcare clients, such as Yale-New Haven Health System, Health-Quest Health System, Lahey Hospital, MGH, and Joslin Diabetes Center. Most recently, John worked as the Creative Director for Examity. He was responsible for defining, managing, and executing the creative brand of a world leader in learning validation and online proctoring.

Joshua Li
Josh Li brings more than 15 years of experience in product management and business strategy to Uwill. Most recently, he was the Sr. Director of Product, Consumer/Strategic Partnerships at Drizly (acquired by Uber), where he oversaw all consumer-facing products and advertising technology and monetization. Prior to that, he held roles at TripAdvisor focused on expanding their business internationally and building out their retail/shopping business. Additionally, Josh worked at Bain & Company, consulting for large consumer goods companies and performing due diligence for PE firms on potential acquisition targets. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Julia Mahr is a people operations leader joining Uwill from a career in the K-12 education setting. Her versatile career spans roles as a special education teacher, dean of support services, data manager, and director of recruitment at institutions all centered on student and staff experience and achievement. As a leader in talent, Julia built a team that supports regional culture and alignment through hiring and retention practices that focus on mission driven work and outcomes. Julia believes in centering people in decision making and in the synergy of collaboration. Julia enjoys getting involved and is an elected Town Meeting Member of her community. She received her BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan and is always ready to say #goblue.

Prior to that, Julie worked for ten years with Aetna Student Health managing several premier colleges and universities including the University of Pennsylvania, University of Southern California and Emory University. Julie received her BA in Communications from Loyola University New Orleans.

Kelly Downing
Kelly Downing is a marketing industry veteran with 20+ years of experience developing integrated, multi-channel marketing and communications strategies, building internal structure and operational protocols, and generating revenue across a wide range of industries. Prior to Uwill, Downing spent 15 years in the agency world working with brands including Starbucks, Yoplait, MEFA, Fjallraven, Boston Red Sox, Ocean Spray and Red Bull to name a few. Kelly began her career with the New England Patriots, New England Revolution and Gillette Stadium, balancing marketing, public relations, broadcast production, sales and account management roles.
Kelly earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Syracuse University and sits on the board of advisors for Falk College’s Department of Sport Management at her alma mater.

Kerri Little joins Uwill in Customer Support. Prior to Uwill, she spent four years working at Examity in a variety of roles from proctor, to shift lead, to content trainer for the US-based team. During this time, she was able to develop her technical troubleshooting skills as well participate in recruiting and hiring. A graduate of Temple University, Kerri pursued a dual major of neuroscience and strategic communications, with a minor in psychology.

Maryellen holds a BS with Honors from Boston College and a JD with Honors from Suffolk University Law School. Additionally, she serves as the Treasurer of the Board of the Mary Christie Foundation and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar.

Mark Scheid brings valuable experience in software design to the Uwill team. As Uwill’s Senior Software Engineer, Mark is responsible for architecting robust software and implementing exciting new features for the platform. Prior to Uwill, Mark worked for LiquidPixels as a lead architect on the operating system that powered a half dozen websites, and also designed the public API. Mark is a graduate of Drexel University who continues his studies exploring philosophy and the probabilities inherent in table-top gaming.

Matthew Medcraft
Matthew Medcraft joins Uwill as a Customer Support Associate. Matt worked in healthcare as a pharmacy tech at Boston Children’s Hospital and then at Christie Campus Health before joining the Uwill team. Matt received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of New Hampshire where he was a member of the club soccer team.

Michael London
Michael London is the founding CEO of Uwill, the leading mental health and wellness solution for colleges and students. He is a recognized thought-leader and pioneer within education technology and entrepreneurship, having created more than one billion dollars in company value throughout his career. In 2013, he founded Examity, a leader in learning validation and online proctoring. Prior, Michael led Bloomberg Institute, an EdTech start-up funded by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. His earlier successes include the founding of College Coach and EdAssist, both acquired by Bright Horizons Family Solutions. In 2019, he was a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award and held a position on the Governor’s Commission for Digital Education and Lifelong Learning. Michael is a current Trustee at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and a member of the behavioral health committee. He is also a Member of the Advisory Board at Babson College where he graduated with honors. He also received his MBA from Boston University.

Natasha O’Brien
Natasha O’Brien brings more than a decade of experience working at the intersection of digital behavioral health and higher education to her role at Uwill. Prior to joining Uwill, she co-founded the self-help therapy app WellTrack, which was acquired by ProtoCall Services in 2020 and is now known as Boost. Natasha led business development efforts for WellTrack both before and after the acquisition and is excited to lead Uwill’s expansion efforts in Canada.

Matt Brand
Matt Brand brings over two decades of experience leading engineering teams at high-growth startups. Most recently, Matt worked as a Director of Engineering at Wayfair where he led an organization responsible for generating the site’s product imagery. Prior to that, he worked at Examity as a Senior Director of Engineering, where he led the development of its pioneering proctoring platform. Throughout his career, Matt has served in a variety of senior leadership roles at some of the most prominent startups and tech companies in the Boston area, including CozyKin, MoveWith, Dunwello, and Tabblo. Matt also spent time as the full-time director of an overnight summer camp where he was responsible for the health and wellbeing of over 500 kids and 100 staff members. Matt is a graduate of Syracuse University and has served as a member of his town’s School Committee.

Nicole Jimenez
Nicole Jimenez, LPC, joins the Uwill team to support Uhelp, Uwill’s direct crisis connection. Nicole has more than 13 years of experience working with those who have struggled with menteal health issues, including suicide attempts, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, psychosis, and substance abuse. Nicole received her Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from Webster University. She has an additional Master’s Degree in Psychology and is currently working on her Ph.D. in Forensic Psychology at Walden University.

Nina O’Brien
Nina O’Brien is a seasoned client success professional who recognizes and values the trust her clients place on her. Her passion for service and commitment to professionalism have made her a distinguished and respected account manager in the ed-tech space. Prior to joining Uwill, Nina acted as Director of Account Management at Examity where she supported clients and drove revenue profitability and retention among the company’s largest university partners. Nina has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Simmons University in Boston. Outside of Uwill, she enjoys gardening.

Robin Rich
Robin Rich is a mental health and education leader with 20 years of experience working with Gen Z. Most recently, she was the President of the Youth Innovation Lab at Peer Health Exchange, where she led the organization to build a digital mental health product and earned recognition by Fast Company for best app/game design in 2023. Prior to that, Robin led Peer Health Exchange in a leadership role for 7 years. Robin received her Master’s from the University of Pennsylvania and Bachelor’s from Macalester College, and has been recognized twice by the University of Pennsylvania for social impact leadership and is an alum of The Leadership Consortium program. She was a ranking member of the Boards of Casa Myrna and Women Helping Women, and serves as an executive advisor to startups including Cloverleaf and #HalfTheStory.

Ryan Leer
Ryan Leer brings more than 15 years of business development experience within the education technology industry. He spent five years at Bloomberg LP, developing the market for a platform that provided access and transparency to college recruiting within the financial industry. He went on to serve as a sales leader at Examity, creating enterprise higher Ed partnerships by offering solutions to enhance their assessment integrity standards. Most recently he comes from EdAssist Solutions, helping the Fortune 100 to optimize their workforce education and upskilling initiatives. Ryan graduated with a BA in Psychology from the University of Rochester.

Sam Witt
Sam Witt brings 10 years of sales experience with a focus in teletherapy and telehealth to the Uwill team. During his career, he has always focused on relationship based selling with a passion for selling solutions that make a positive impact on an individual’s life. Sarah Pauling
Sarah Pauling, joins the Uwill team with two decades of experience driving creative, product marketing and thought leadership campaigns for high-growth companies and higher education institutions. Prior to joining Uwill, Sarah served as Vice President of Marketing for Examity, where she oversaw brand management, PR, product marketing, and corporate communications for the online proctoring leader. Throughout her career, Sarah has served in a variety of management roles across marketing, education, and edtech companies in the Boston area, including Hill, Holliday, Northeastern University, and PlatformQ Education. Sarah holds a BA in History and Art History from Emory University and a Graduate Certificate of Advanced Study in Management.

Sean K. Lowder has been a cyber security evangelist and practitioner in the industry for 20+ years. He has extensive experience building business-savvy cyber security programs that meet risk reduction requirements as set by the company. He has various industry certifications, including Certified Information Security Manager, Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, and others.
Sean has extensive experience in preparing for SOC1, SOC2, HIPAA, PCI DSS, Hitrust and financial auditing for all information security areas. He specializes in the maturation of the risk and compliance management practices and development of a strategic plan and technology roadmap for all security technologies and practices.

Shanna Nelson is passionate about helping others and expanding access to mental health services, while supporting clinicians with their career goals. Over the last several years, Shanna has worked to support the development of healthcare teams including mental health. She holds an Integrative Health Coaching certificate and is finishing an Associate’s degree in Science of Liberal Arts.

Stephanie Black Dos Santos
Stephanie Black Dos Santos, LICSW, brings 20+ years of professional human service experience honed in a myriad of settings. She most recently spent eight years as a therapist in the Harvard University counseling center. In addition, she has operated and managed a private practice designed to support the mental health needs of women of color in academic programs in Massachusetts, Maine and Pennsylvania. Her prior experience includes work in public schools, community health organizations, federally funded childcare centers, county government and child welfare agencies as well as community and private colleges.
Stephanie earned bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Child Development at North Carolina Central University. She also holds master’s degrees in Child Development and Social work (with a certificate in Family Therapy) from Tufts University and Boston University, respectively. She holds clinical training certificates in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Trauma Informed CBT, DBT and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. Stephanie was named a 2022 Uwill Chelsea Rundell Top 50 Counselor award winner. In her spare time she enjoys making art and exploring creative and expressive pursuits.

Tobey Choate
Tobey Choate has over 20 years experience in the ed tech and health care sectors. Tobey was most recently VP of Administration at Examity, the global leader in learning validation and on-line proctoring. His responsibilities included financial, human resources, and compliance proctoring operations. Over the years, he has had significant exposure in the healthcare industry. Tobey was appointed by the governor to be Commissioner on the Massachusetts Group Health Insurance Commission, the largest purchaser of healthcare in Massachusetts. He also held executive positions in the MassHealth insurance program as well as CEO for third party administrator selling and administering health insurance policies to small businesses. Tobey received BA from Dartmouth College and MBA from Northeastern University.
